Ranked right up there in the top things God created, in my book… comes coffee. I love a warm, creamy, cup of joe in the morning… uuuummmmm… nothing else gets me up out of bed so smoothly…
Here is how I like it… I like it in a big mug. You know the ones that hold like 3 cups of coffee in them… then I add french vanilla flavored creamer. The real cream kind. No powder unless it is an emergency…
I also enjoy grinding my own beans… I think it more for the aroma than anything… I am also not a strong coffee drinker. I like the milder blends. And I use 4 Tbsp of ground coffee to make a 10 cup pot.
Yes. I normally drink the whole pot.
This is how I love to start my day… I curl up in my lazy boy, steamy cup of coffee, blanket, Bible… mornings just don’t start any better, especially if I can watch the sunrise out my front window too.
This is my third giveaway this week. My one year blogoversary week! For the third giveaway I am giving a beautiful big coffee mug, and a package of starbucks coffee beans. Mild Breakfast Blend. My fav! (so if you win, and you decide you’d rather not have this kind of coffee… I’ll just keep it!! ;))
This is what I am thinking about the comments… you tell me how you like your coffee… or if you don’t, and you just want to win the mug and let me keep the coffee (or I could give it to someone else who says they love it and would like to be chosen out of a pot of reserves if the winner doesn’t want it!!) Tell me how you like your coffee… and you can win!
AGAIN. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY OR IF YOU NOW WRITE A POST ON YOUR OWN BLOG TELLING OTHERS ABOUT MY GIVEAWAYS THIS WEEK YOU CAN SIGN UP TWICE…SARAH, CAROL, SUZIE, and CARRIE all did! Leave me the second comment just saying you wrote about it on your blog!

Did you sign up for GIVEAWAY #2 Cookbook by Dawn Hall yet? You have to go do that! And tell me about your relationship with cooking!
I am loving reading your comments! You are all so hilarious and honest! See why I love you all and give you these fabulous prizes!!
My own relationship with cooking is kind of a love/hate. If I have done the prep work. Made a plan. Bought the groceries. Decided what to make before 4:30 in the afternoon… and there are kids around to clean up. I don’t mind so much.
Now if I don’t have a plan. I’ll probably give you this blank stare and say something like. “Dinner? What’s that?” or “Didn’t we do that yesterday? You mean we do this every day?”
I’ve been enjoying trying new recipes with you all!! I have another one I am going to share right now!! This is a salad that we had on Saturday when Dawn Hall visited our little town and graced us with her testimony! I made it last night for my family (and my sister’s kids). It was all gone! And I was rationing some of them who wanted more!! (Zach didn’t care for it though)
TOSSED SALAD WITH BOLD & HEARTY SALAD DRESSING
1/2 Cup fat-free Italian salad dressing
2 Tbsp. steak sauce
1 (16oz) salad mix
1 cup grape tomatoes
1/2 cup shredded fat free cheddar cheese
1/2 cup fat free croutons
In a salad bowl mix Italian Dressing and steak sauce until well blended. Add salad mix, tomatoes, & cheddar cheese (DO NOT TOSS SALAD) Cover and put in refrigerator to keep chilled. Right before serving toss well and add croutons.
Want to win a book with recipes in it like this! Then go sign up for GIVEAWAY #2

GIVEAWAY #1 is the biggest giveaway! 6 prizes! 4 chances to sign up!! If you love Beth Moore… you want to make sure you check it out. If you’ve never read any Beth Moore… How about a taste…
Overcoming Pride…
My Name is Pride.
I am a cheater.
You like me because you think I’m always looking out for you.
Untrue.
I’m looking to make a fool of you.
I admit, but don’t worry.
If you stick with me, you’ll never know.
“I will break down your strong pride. I will make your sky like iron and your land like bronze, and your strength will be used up for nothing. Your land will not yield its produce, and the trees of the land will not bear fruit.” -- Leviticus 26:19-20
Praying God's Word by Beth Moore has been a life saver for me. I pick it up on a daily basis. For a chance to win one of these books, or one of three different sets of verse cards you must enter GIVEAWAY #1.
I am also loving the questions you are leaving in the comments for me to answer in future blog posts. I will do that! I am thrilled and sit here smiling when I read them! I’ll give you a taste…
http://bussecrew.blogspot.com/ asked “Which Beth Moore bible studies have you done and which is your favorite?
If I can remember right, I’ve done Breaking Free, Believing God, Daniel, A Woman's Heart God's Dwelling Place, Steppin' Up, Living Beyond Yourself and now, Esther. All of these I have done over a period of weeks in a group of women.
I’ve also done Loving Well, Retreat in a Box, and watched Beth speak live via simulcast twice. No, http://doingthemathcountingmyblessings.blogspot.com/, I’ve never seen Beth Moore in person. Have any of you?
On my own I have done her study of David, 90 days with a Heart Like His, and read her books, When Godly People Do Ungodly Things, and of course Praying God's Word.
My favorite? The one I am doing!! TRUELY! They are all wonderful! Now, I will have to say, I cried the most through Believing God & Breaking Free. They were the first ones I did after HSSH left, so everything made me cry. And God spoke to me through them so much. I think my whole book is highlighted!
I didn’t start doing any of Beth’s studies until after my husband left us. Beth has become like a wonderful friend, ministering to me in the greatest pain I have endured, thus far. And I call her my friend because of that.
Now Go Sign up by leaving comments for GIVEAWAY #1!! And ask the questions that are burning in your mind to ask me!! Now’s your chance!!! ;) (unless your name is Julie L and you know way too much. No need to ask questions!!!)

Yay! Starbucks! Great giveaway!
I usually like my coffee BLACK and STRONG. However, Jane got me hooked on Butterscotch coffee.
Put some Butterscotch chips at the bottom of your mug, add your coffee, a little milk and a little sugar. Yummmm!!!
Pick me! Pick me! ;)
Comment #2:
I'm adding this to my advertisement on my blog ;)
Great giveaway once again, Pam.
I absolutely love coffee, and Starbucks is probably my favorite. I usually make it stronger than you, I make 4 cups on my coffeemaker and add 2 Tbsp. of coffee. Currently I have the Dunkin' Donuts brand and it's yummy!
I drink that amount first thing in the morning after I do my quiet time and I have gotten my shower. Later on in the day I usually do a very English thing and have a cup of tea with milk and sugar, of course. :-)
I have never had just a plain cup of coffee. However ... if you add chocolate, I am all over it.
My favorite: White Chocolate Mocha with Sugar Free Pepperment, and whip cream. Yummm.....
I have my own espresso maker, and we often grind our own coffee for our mochas.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the mug. I am all about finding JOY as I walk life's journey!
blessings,
Laurel :)
I am going to write a blog post about your giveaways. It will post at 5:00 this evening (Pacific Time), since my blog has a busy day ahead for it.
:) :) :)
Love Starbuck, Verona, my fav. my hubby's is the columbia. Never tried the breakfast blend. I do also enjoy a big cup. I actually bought a soup, because the regular cups didn't hold enough.. Love you blog.
Another fun giveaway! I like lots of flavor in my coffee! I like peppermint mocha, hazelnut, and the butterscotch idea sounds really good! I like sugar and cream! The mug is beautiful!
I will definitely post again about this! THanks for having fun giveaways! Who wouldn't want to win!
Yup me too because Coffee is second on my list of fav's...chocolate being the 1st of course.
I love my coffee same as you...creamy with french vanilla creamer BUT I love the strong stuff!
I do love that mug by the way.
My favourite coffee? Somebody else's! especially your large cup of french vanilla in the mornings.
Yeah, I prefer sniffing someone else's drink so I don't have to ingest the caffeine.
OKAY...here we are with announcement #3!
http://wheredidthisallcomefrom.blogspot.com/2009/03/because-i-think-she-wants-me-to-get-to.html
I hope I win win win..lol
MMMMM I don't like coffee, but I do LOVE a BIG mug of hot tea!! Any kind of mint or lemon is GREAT. Thanks AGAIN for another great opportunity!!!
Wow, what a week for you. Love, love, love a strong cup of coffee. That mug is the most precious, would love to enjoy a morning cup of coffee during my quite time with that mug. Anyway, if I happen to win, you keep the coffee and I will enjoy the mug. I am the so strong most people can't stand it type of coffee. My hubby says it's like licking an ashtray. I don't think he has really done that, probably just imagining it...
Have a blessed day,
Elaine
I like my coffee iced from Dunkin donuts with double cream and sugar and cinnamon flavor. BUT...if I make it at home, I like it with fat free cinnamon vanilla flavored cream...lots of it.
Since Joy is my middle name, just like your daughter...you should just send that giveaway right to me. Address is...
Pick me!
I like sugar and milk in my coffee, which is why I don't drink it that much. :-)
Well, I think you know that I do not like coffee--- but I do love the smell of coffee!! However, my mugs are saved for tea, and my favorites are sleepytime and sweet dreams (catch a theme?)
Love the mug- thanks for coming to the store and helping us out by buying!!!
Oh! Forgot to add that I think the Esther study is my favorite Beth Moore also. I am really enjoying it, although I did love all the others ones also. Beth can make almost anything fun and interesting, can't she??
I don't like coffee--but I sure would like some hot chocolate in that beauty of a mug!!
Black and first thing in the morning!
I'm here from Bonnie's blog because who can resist a COFFEE giveaway!?!?! How I like my coffee... strong, but not bitter, with a bit of milk and most importantly, HOT!!! I like it just hot enough that if you take a big gulp it'll burn the insides of your mouth off, but if you sip it, it's just right! I like it best when shared with someone I love, whether my hubby, daughter, one of my 4 sons, my mom or a dear friend!
I'll be back after I post on my blog about this giveaway!
Alright, I've posted it. Here: http://11thhourrebel.blogspot.com/2009/03/two-for-tuesday_10.html
Happy giving away!
I don't like coffee at all! But I make a nice size pot every morning and send it off to work with Matt. His birthday is coming and that would make the perfect gift. I am confused about how many times I should be commenting. Oh well I've already won a cat this month what else could a girl ask for. Well maybe coffee and a mug. I would keep the mug and drink Dt. Pepsi out of it. Hey it is black! LOL This has been too much fun. Hey do you remember when we had our first offical coffee break in our 2-hour word processing lab? (Don't worry that is not the question that I am working on.) julie:)
Just linked!!
Great Give-away!! Pick me!! I would love to win the mug AND the coffee!! I don't drink alot of coffee, but I like flavored coffees. Even better - adding lots of flavoured creamer. :o) I LOVE hot chocolate, especially mint chocolate. I am going to try the butterscotch chips - sounds delicious.
Sign me up twice - I have posted to my blog. :o)
love the coffee...you know that!
and i follow you
and we tweet...
because we're just that good!
I like my coffee from Starbucks. The white chocolate mocha with whipped cream. Every time I pass a starbucks I could get me one of those....but thankfully I live 50 miles from the closest so I get a cup of my fav joe just once or twice a month. Love the mug and hope to win :-)
Paula
My dh is a coffee snob and got me hooked on STRONG coffee. French Roast Starbucks or Costco's Kirkland brand will do. He insists that IF you read the label it clearly tells you HOW to make a cup of coffee that is 1 tbsp per cup.. (for him that is one heaping tablespoon). And of course it is whole bean stored in the freezer ground fresh. Add a little French Vanilla Coffee mate (okay a lot of French Vanilla) and maybe some sugar or splenda if the coffee was made too strong that day. NOW wouldn't ya know he has sworn off coffee. Hasn't touched the stuff in over two months. So NOW I can do ground coffee kept sealed in an airtight container and not so strong. (One level TBSP per cup) Of course who can resist Starbucks drive thru I love their carmel Macchiato Venti with one shot instead of two and two splendas.
I would love to win! Although if I do win, then YOU can keep the coffe cuz I think you would appreciate much more than me! But I love the mug...super cute! And congrats again!
I should have added to my original post that it is all Dorie's fault that I like real cream in my coffee, and she introduced me to grinding beans too!! ;) PLUS! i had no idea what to order in a starbucks until she introduced me to carmel macchiato with one shot istead of two. Pick your friends very carefully my friends!! :) And so glad to see you entered Dorie! I'll get you some strong stuff if you win!! ;)
Hi Pam,
I like my coffee with one heaping teaspoon of hot chocolate mix in it. Yumm!
Have a good day...31 comments!

Girl, we are sisters............because your morning is just like mine. If I can start it that way, I fly through the whole day as if I have wings..and we know who gives them to me :)
But you are just the most creative, fun person! Always up to things to keep us mamas going, with our hearts focused on GOOD.....I'm thankful to have crossed these paths with you friend! With 6 kids and all the havoc that brings, it is so fun to come over here and see what you are up to next! My blog sure looks dull tho!!! haha You are the creative sister, how's that?
Ok, coffee..........
VERY IMPORTANT......my kids are trained, don't talk to mama till she has finished her first cup!! haha
My bigger kids have learned to make mine just the way I like it and are so sweet to bring it to me most days :)
I drink flavored coffee, Hazelnut 90% of the time and once in awhile something cinnamon like :) I like mine sweet, warm and creamy and like you, in a big mug that I can wrap my cold hands around to warm them:)
Then, there is nap time coffee:) Same thing all over again, enjoying every second of the quiet while the toddlers sleep. The kind of quiet where you can hear the fridge humming :) Ahhhh.....that is good coffee!!
So, I am the least competitive person alive, but I am going to post about your blog on mine because I think mamas will love visiting like I do :)
Big hugs!
Tonia
I posted about you girl!!!! Check it out!!

Pam,
Well, cuz! Here I am! My first blog comment ever! Aren't you so proud of me? Your blog is amazing!!!
I make 2 shots of espresso and drink it with hot water and splenda.....an americano
Wow, a lot of people like coffee. It will be hard to win this contest! I only like my coffee with liquid creamer , Starbucks is the best, though not in the budget anymore :(
I like my coffee with sugar and extra cream. But since I was told to stop drinking coffee I only drink it occassionally and usually decaf. (I was told to give up chocolate too but...) So I usually have a cup of green tea every morning but my favorite, favorite tea is Chai. I still love the aroma of a good pot of coffee.
Hooray!!! Thanks for doing this.
I like my coffee with a little milk.
The mug looks so pretty!
Thank you for doing this giveaway and Congratulations!
I take milk in my coffee.
I thoroughly enjoy my morning coffee - two cups, every morning, with cream. I like to get up before my children and have my first up first cup of coffee before the morning rush begins.
I love coffee, especially flavored, but the regular kind is wonderful too.
Sign me up.

Hi...I drink my coffee black. Please enter me, thanks.
Hi Pam! I LOVE coffee and hope that it's not an idol, but rather just a teensy weensy addiction! :) We grind our own beans and mix them 1/2 dark roast and 1/2 decaf. (The 1/2 decaf so that I can think I'm not truly addicted!) I usually buy my beans based on price and so Sam's Club has been a good option, although their options change constantly. I recently read in Consumer Reports the Eight O'Clock Columbian is the best tasting coffee bean tested and it's also moderately priced. Would you sign me up for your coffee give-a-way! I would be SO excited to win!!! Also, could you put me in the drawing for the cookbook? I like to cook and if I had a TV, would probably love watching cooking shows and figuring out how certain techniques can create better results. I'm an adaquate cook, and wouldn't say I'm gourmet, although I appreciate good presentation, a well set table, etc. Congrats on your blogoversary! Much love in JESUS, Shari
The best coffee is the coffee that my husband makes. Why? Because it is already done when I wake up! I don't like to wait for it to brew, and I can never remember to set it up the night before. I would probably enjoy my coffee more if I didn't stay up so late and likee mornings.
Pam, the comment from anon. was me again, I stated alot of people must like coffee.... I now can sign in under my name, Nancy, Jodi set me up :)
Well, I don't drink coffee, but I have many good friends (and my Mr. W) that do... so I'll take the mug and give them the coffee... Deal?
Posted about your blogoversary... countdown now... 1.5 hrs according to Florida Time... lol
http://doingthemathcountingmyblessings.blogspot.com/2009/03/its-night-before-blogoversary.html
I've been reading your blog but haven't commented until now...but if you're giving away coffee...well then, THAT calls for a comment!...LOL. I love strong coffee made from freshly ground beans. I like it a a big ol' polka dotted mug, with sugar free, hazelnut, coffeemate liquid creamer in it. Un frotunately, I have to share it with my cat, Agnes, as she loves coffee too.
