God has an incredible sense of humor, don’t you think. My friend, and fellow blogger, Tara posted a funny story that is worth reading! Kind of topped off what I was going to say!
This morning, as you can tell from my post, I was feeling particularly joyful, positive, clear headed… Things were going well. Started off with NO children waking up until after 8:30! Who wouldn’t have a good and positive outlook on life after that! (as long as that didn’t mean that they were sick!) It didn’t.
At 11 I had a massage! YES! A massage. 60 whole minutes of ME time. I have an ever growing list of justifications reasons why I need these massages. In fact, I just thought of another one today on the massage table! Just think of all the money I SAVE in doing Kiahna’s hair myself! Treating myself to a massage afterwards to loosen my neck muscles is MUCH cheaper than paying someone to do K’s hair!
So, I left there feeling very wonderfully. Headed over to Starbucks. Now, I couldn’t have caffeine after a massage. Does crazy things to you, like buying a headache. But, I know our store is closing soon, and my kids gave me this $10 gift certificate for Mother’s Day. (I’ve been to Starbucks since Mother’s Day, but my gift card hasn’t) So what a wonderful way to treat my massaged body today!
The sign on the door, by the way, says their last day is this Sunday the 27th. Happy Birthday to me.
I ordered a smoothy. The lady then handed me an Icy Lemonade/Green Tea mixture. She said I could have it for free because they made it. I’m then thinking, why do I need two drinks? Just because, I guess. The nature of the day.
I managed to finish them both! It was rough, but I endured…
At least they were both low-fat and full of good things (at least that is what that label told me!)
Then I went over to Walmart for milk. Because I was alone, I went through the decorating department. There are these candle holders I have been debating on for my bedroom. I would have bought them last week when I was looking at them, or the week before, but the first time I couldn't make up my mind and the second time someone instantly had to use the restroom, so shopping in that department ended! Today they were on CLEARANCE! I got them for $7!
Don’t they look great in my bedroom!
I stopped in another store that had some 1/2 price perennials last week. I got 3 more. Came home, found the shovel right in the middle of the lawn where it belongs and ended with me breaking the shovel! I guess we’re still on earth!
They are going to be pretty, when we get them in the ground!
The update on my Peace Lily isn’t so good. I’m not quite ready to throw it out yet, but I did buy a new one to replace this one.
Thanks for the comments on my Post this morning. Isn’t it too bad everyday isn’t began with a positive outlook. I PRAISE HIM that today was a 1/2 full day!
Now if only I could manage to get the dishwasher emptied, the groceries put away, and the overflowing trash taken out without asking… okay, just without arguing… life would be pretty close to perfect!
