I am in the midst of figuring out how to open an Etsy shop and offering these prints for sale there & also offering them as note cards!  As suggested by some friends on face*book.  Any other suggestions & encouragement on how I can use this talent God has given to provide for my family would be greatly welcomed!  I am so thankful for your support and encouragement in this venture into photography!  Thank you!   And PRAISE GOD!!

YOUR Gonna Miss This…Moment 64… with a contest!

So sorry to have skipped out on this for the past two weeks!  Something had to give, and it was the blog that took the hit!  LOL!  Stay tuned till the end of this post for some special announcements!

Yesterday, it snowed.  A LOT. Enough to send the schools home early & delay school (or cancel in some districts) today. 

We had a delay.  So, Kiahna and I were here alone.  I decided to take my camera and go out & see what we could find to photograph.

Kiahna hasn’t wanted to go out in the snow and play with the other kids… but today with me… she loved stomping around in the snow!

It was so beautiful, snow was everywhere and on everything!

A fun day for Kiahna and I, one I will miss as she goes off to school on days like today with the other kids next year.

We only got stuck 2 times in the snow!  Both in my parents lane!  I tried going there to get pictures of the birds by their feeders…

The snow is so beautiful.  Much preferred to the mud in my mind!

Now, for the special announcement!  I have chosen three of the photos I took today and spent some time editing them!  I think that I am going to get some prints made of them & hang them on the wall!  I am pleased with how they turned out.  I am offering them for sale through my business if anyone would like one of their own.

Now for my 100th post…

Posts can be about simple things… they can be about licking off the cake batter… or they can be about making touchdowns… this week… mine is about making touchdowns!

FOOTBALL!!!

We are attending 2 or 3 games a week these days, people… and loving every moment of it!!!  Ok, maybe not the heat so much… or the coming coldness… or the injuries… or the scare of injuries… or the blurry pictures… but you get it.  We are living it!  We are loving it!

Last night’s newspaper said that James “has 10 catches for 228 yards and three scores”  (making him our lead receiver)

He has scored in the last three games!!  And I have been there to take pictures!!

 

I have learned something about photography… it’s quite deep and insightful… ready??  Pictures taken on bleachers where 100’s of people are jumping up and down, come out blurry.  Yup.  You heard it here.  Deep, I tell ya, deep.

I’ve asked James if he wouldn’t give me some sort of signal when he is about to make a catch so I can sprint down to the sidelines and get a good clear photo… you know, so I can also still sit in the stands most of the game an socialize.  

He rolled his eyes at me.

Humph.

Tonight is a BIG game!  It is against our closest school!  Big rivals among friends and family!!  (for sure since our coach’s father is one of the assistant coaches for the other team!!) 

It hope it will be a fun, good, SAFE, game!  Good sportsmanship, and Good attitudes (fans included!!!) :) 

I hope that James scores again!  I hope that no one gets hurt on either team… the beginning of the article in the newspaper quoted the other team’s coach as saying, “I don’t remember two teams being as beat up as AC & SA are right now”.

Be safe out there tonight boys, have fun. Play hard. & BE CAREFUL!! 

Oh and…

A Break from the slide show…

As I share with you this week all the wonderful memories of last week, real life is obviously going on here!!  Just a few things…

*Yesterday I took Kiahna to the dentist.  She has been complaining about pain in one of her back molars.  Turns out she is going to need to have a pulpotomy (root canal on a baby tooth).  She is on antibiotic for the risk of infection. (that is she will be when I go get it) and she will be going to a specialist to have this done In a little over a week.

*I am getting schedules left and right for all the activities the kids have going on in the last 2 months of school.  I know I don’t even have them all yet, and there are some nights where each child has something somewhere.  To say that is overwhelming. Yeah… Show me how to walk this out Lord….

*Tonight I go with James to school for a meeting about his senior year and all the things we need to know about that.  Can I just cry?

*We got a new puppy that will live outside- hopefully scare away certain young people who choose to visit us in the middle of the night-in all kinds of weather-spreading their lovely TP in our trees…  Sonny, our puppy, is about the same color as James’ bleached blonde head, and is starting out to be a calm, timid, tolerant puppy.  He was pulled around in the wagon yesterday afternoon by Jadon, while Kiahna held him.  Thanks Michael & Jane!

*Speaking of Michael & Jane, their adopted son Deacon is turning 1 this week!  They are flying his birth mom in to share the weekend with them!  Go over to their blog to read about it, and say a prayer for them all!  I admit, it makes me envious to have such an opportunity, I pray all goes well.

*A blogging friend, Mimi, is celebrating her one year blogoversary with lots of giveaways this week!!  Get in on that!!

I am sure there are more, but I need to run out the door now to Week 5 of the Esther Bible Study!!!  Back with more pictures soon!

As the contest has been raging here… life has been raging behind the computer… a few pictures of the week… oh and the carpet is dry again and I am getting that put back in place while these pictures upload…

I believe it was in a "Tweet", someone asked me what the obsession with mud is over here?  I don’t know.  It’s not my fault.  There seems to be a magnetic force “field” next to our house, calling my children’s names… wish they heard my voice as clearly as they hear the call of the mud…

Basketball is finally over, over… AAU… over.  Finally…

The next three nights James will be performing in his high school musical. 

I struggled with it, but I did call and leave his dad a message just to make sure he knew about it.  It has been painful for me this week… James has been silent, but you know it’s there.  Pray for a miracle.  Suddenly.  We need one.
