Getting Ready!

Well with this beautiful weather we are having, it hardly feels like there is a need to leave the state for spring break!  But, we’ll go anyway!!

Just wanted to stop a moment in my packing and say, hey.  I’ve got a ton of things to do to get ready to leave by Thursday at 1:00 pm.

We will pick the kids up from school then, they will miss school on Friday!

We plan to drive on Thursday, stop and sleep.  Finish the drive on Friday. Stop in a hotel.  Drive over to our condo on the beach (well, not OURS, but the one my parents rented) on Saturday.  We will be pretty much just hanging out at the pool and on the Gulf all week.

There are tennis courts, a park nearby.  Grills that we will use to make most of our dinners.

My sister and I have all the meals (well she did most of the work) planned out.  I went and bought some meat today at the butcher that we’ll take down with us.

Pretty much we just relax.  Eat. Relax some more…

We will head back on the next Saturday. Stop for the night on Saturday night. Finish the trip on Sunday.

I won’t be blogging while I am down there… it will be a true, “old fashioned’ vacation for me!  Except I will Twitter, if you’d like to be in on the action!

We’ll be taking 3 vans.  James, his friend Paul, Kiahna and I will be in one.  The rest will be split between my parents & my sister and brother-in-law.  I had my van in for service, and it has taken two trips back for repairs, but I think that we should be good to go!  Prayers for safety.  I will probably let James do some of the driving this year.

I was looking through some old pictures lately and saw some of other years we went to Florida when the kids were younger.  My plan is to schedule a post with at least one picture on it each day while I am gone.  They will post and you can take a peek!

I hope that it stays this nice up here north while we are gone too!

Okay, now, back to the packing… remember when I did this last year?  I am doing it again.  Only I hope to be more balanced!  LOL! RIGHT!  The kids love it!

Have FUN! Sounds WONDERFUL! Wish I had a fun vacation planned.

I was hoping to go somewhere for spring break (ours is in 3 weeks). But, I get to stay home and totally reorganize two rooms in our house, as we have 2 big kids moving back home in April and May. So, I need to make room for them.

blessings,

Laurel

Hope you have a great time, Pam! We'll be in the same state starting Saturday! :) Think of me while you're on the beach...I'll be on dry ground somewhere between the gulf and the atlantic. Have tons of fun!!

I see from your post and pictures last year why you would be stress..NOT your normal packing of clothes, no maam.

I will miss you. I will probably call or text you sometime. I'm guessing you wont' have email as you won't blog.

It is unusually warm for us here as you said.
