Nothing warmed my heart more on this trip than watching my kids build a sand castle together… To see James involved. To see him, not to old to dig in the sand… heartwarming…of course that meant he was in charge and giving the orders… a couple of the older boys couldn’t handle that very long, and moved on to other things…
Jadon thought he could take over being in charge…
Half the fun was getting to destroy it after it was built…
Then getting to start all over again the next day… bigger and better…
The waves destroyed the second one… they put too much time into it to destroy it themselves!
The other kids are James friend Aaron, & my nephews Koty, Sammy, & Colton.

They really know how to build some sand castles. YOu can tell you all visit there every year. THey are experienced at building:) Great job!
I love to watch a group of kids build sand castles or sand sculptures on the beach. Or dig holes. You'd think they were digging to China sometimes... they get them SO deep and then the ocean water seeps in. And yet.. if you put a shovel in their hands at home and asked them to dig, say, fenceholes.. "No way! That's too much work!" Those are some great sand castles! I love the shells on top.. did they find those on the beach? They're gorgeous....
How fun! We haven't tried to build a big sand castle yet, but have made some little ones. They seem to get tired of it easily and would rather swim! Maybe this year :) Those are great!
