Screening Two

I have a prayer request for this week.  This is the week that Kiahna will be spending three mornings in screening for Head Start.  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

If you are unaware of the events going on with Kiahna you can read about the first screening here.  And this post will take you back to the middle of November when things fell apart at the first preschool she went to.

I really don’t know what to expect the next few days.  Kiahna has been doing really well for me these past weeks.  Has she just been thriving in the slower schedule & the no separation times from me?  Or has healing begun?  Questions are bouncing around in my mind about what the best thing for Kiahna is at this point.

Today, I am thinking that best way to handle these next few days is to take her to Head Start and leave her.

If I stay, they won’t get an accurate picture of her behavior.  Her behavior is extremely different if I am present.

This could be very hard.

Prayers are needed, and so appreciated.

Praying that this new transistion is a smooth one! But if it isn't, we will be praying you through. I think you are right to leave her at this point so they can see the whole picture.. but that is not easy to do!

And Happy Birthday Leah!!!! Have fun tonight!

I will be praying. I hope it all goes well and I also hope you get some answers. I hope Kiahna has a good time and that this all leads to what is best for her. Sometimes it's just really not easy, is it? think you are definitely doing the right thing by leaving her there. You want as accurate a picture of where she's at as you can get.

Hi Pam! I just read the previous posts so I could be up to speed with your daughter. I'll be praying that she feels comfortable being left alone. I'm sure you do this already, but if not, pray with her right before dropping her off, and also having a little talk with her the night before about exactly what it is she will be doing. Praying for you all!!! HUGS!

Lifting up you, your precious daughter, and the educators at the Head Start program. I do believe that for them to get a more accurate view of Kiahna's behavior is for you to not be there. Be strong! I know you can do it.

BTW... I just love Kiahna's middle name... Love it. :)

Pam,
I'm praying for Kiahna this morning.

I think it's a good choice to leave as they assess her. This way they'll see the behavior without Mommy around.

So happy to hear that she is doing much better for you.

BTW, Zach looks just like you. The picture with you and Kiahna shows that.

Dear Pam,

I pray God's peace will cover Kiahna (and you) this week. I thank God that Kiahna is the head and not the tail. She is above and not beneath. I am grateful that she is a leader in the things of God - not a follower. I am trusting God that the calling He has on her life will come to pass -- no matter what satan would have planned.

I pray the screening goes great and that God gives wisdom how to help this precious little one.

God bless you Pam. You rescued Kiahna and God placed her in your arms for a reason.

Love,
Beth
