Check out this Website from a fellow adoptive mom! This is where I bought the 4000 snaps and beads last week! SNAPAHOLICS!
Check out Kiahna's hair with her new beads in it!
Thank you Steph for the wonderful site and the great products! Tell all your friends who have adopted about this site and the great learning tools that Steph has provided!
Looks like Kiahna's yarn extensions aren't going to make it much past two weeks this time. I have ordered some new hair gel, and once in comes in I will start redoing it. Hopefully, I have some more knowledge and a tad of experience now that I know what I need to do differently to help them stay longer! Most mom's are saying that they get around 6 weeks out of these braids. This is what Kiahna's hair is doing...
The hair is starting to stick out the side of the yarn where it ends. I know now that I need LOTS of gel on that hair, especially towards the ends! And it is slipping from the scalp. Sort of sliding down like a knee sock would! I need to work on getting my start tighter. These two things happen, and I think we could almost make it those 6 weeks!
I had to unknot the ends of all the braids and take off the old beads to put on the new ones. The old beads seemed to have reacted with her hair gel and tarnished! That was a disappointment. They were so cute and shiny! We loved them Bekah! Thanks!!
First ones I put in that tarnished. Weren't they cute in her hair though!
So now we have this huge supply of beads! Which ones will we choose to put in next time???!!! When you are thinking of leaving them in for that long, you want to choose right!!
